The latest addition to the Vincent Creative portfolio is the 'Club Diva'. This diva illustration is the sixth iteration in my 'Diva' series and was inspired by Lady Gaga and her penchant for outlandish entertainment and fashion. When conceptualizing this illustration I wanted to capture the flamboyant essence that Lady Gaga and similar club divas radiate; from brazen clothing styles to glittery fabrics to garish accessories, I wanted to capture the quintessence of club diva style.

The 'Club Diva' illustration was created in both Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop using vector and raster rendering techniques. The first step in the design process was to create the outlines in Illustrator with the pen tool, bezier curves and custom calligraphic brushes. After the outlines were created several color and layout comps were visualized using the quick and efficient tools Adobe Illustrator has to offer. Once a final color scheme and composition were decided upon the Illustrator outlines were exported into Photoshop to start the rendering process.

The 'Club Diva' rendering process was a long and drawn out procedure. During the rendering process it never failed that I would stumble upon different club diva 'looks' that altered the way I envisioned the finished piece. Consequently, I was continually changing the wardrobe of my 'Club Diva' which resulted in numerous versions along with a time frame that far exceeded my initial expectations. Eventually, after many months and numerous versions I finally decided upon a fashion style that satisfied the vision in my mind's eye and the Vincent Creative 'Club Diva' was born.
